Governing education: the Covid-19 school catch-up plan

Paul Whiteman, general secretary of the National Association of Head Teachers, has outlined that the leadership and efforts of individual schools during the pandemic have been more effective than the guidance from the Department of Education at coping with the disruption that Covid-19 has caused to education.

So what needs to be done going forwards as restrictions remain in place and disruption still persists for students? Good governance can allow us to learn from past mistakes and provide a clear picture about how to lead the education sector through this ongoing storm.
